Lsass.exe error - 'The endpoint format is invalid'

If you are seeing this error when you start Windows, chances are it is stuck in a constant cycle of: boot, see error, click ok, system reboots, see error etc.
There is a lot of different advice out there for this. The fix below is one which I have found to solve the problem on many occassions.

This does involve registry alterations and as such is done at your own risk!

Power up your PC, and at the same time repeatedly tap the 'F8' key until you see the 'boot choices menu'
From here select the option to boot into 'safe mode' and once you get to the login prompt screen, log in with an account which has local administrator rights.

Assuming the above goes well, continue as below

1. Click Start > Run > type 'regedit' in the text box and click 'ok'
2. Navigate to the follow key location:
3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
4. Export the Memory Management key (click to highlight, right click > export > type a name and select a location for the .reg file) as a backup, in case there are any problems, so you can re-import it
5. See if there is a key named 'SystemPages' in the right hand panel
6. If there is not, create by right clicking over the Memory Management key and select New > DWORD value
7. Modify the value of the SystemPages key (click it in the right hand panel to highlight, right click and select 'Modify'), set it to a decimal value of 31000
8. Quit registry editor and reboot.

Hopefully you will now be able to log in as normal
It ain't the years honey, it's the mileage.
