Windows Server 2012

Have had a chance to begin playing with this using Oracle VirtualBox and my MAP software.
Looks like Microsoft are going with a unified front end with their systems. As far as things are graphically, it seems as if we have gone back to Windows 3.1
There is no start button, but a "server manager" icon where the button used to be. So to get at anything useful you go through "tools" with the server manager or move your mouse to the one of the corners of the screen to then click on "settings" which you can then access the good old control panel.
I have just finished sticking the command prompt and control panel shortcuts onto the taskbar for quick and easy access. Microsoft are making getting to the basics several steps longer.
